I would've been impressed, but unfortunately I once read this speech by Michael Crichton (disk posted the link on his MSN nick if I remember correctly) that has made me skeptical on that issue:

I've been very eager to catch this movie. Dunno why they're delaying its release for SG, it released long ago worldwide!
In case, you've not seen it yet, watch Al Gore at TED.
Hmm... you might want to read the book titled "The Skeptical Environmentalist" by Bjorn Lomborg. It's kind of like a summary of papers which points out the flaws (research flaws) in these claims. Central Library has a book "You've Got to Admit it's Gettign Better" which has a summary of the book above as its first chapter (so it's a summary of a summary, hell yeah!).
Anyway, just in case you are interested in this issue further. Heck, if you are living on this planet and you love your kids, you must read this... Wait a minute :D
